My family and I have lived in Colorado Springs since June of 1997 when I began working in the Department of Engineering Mechanics at the U. S. Air Force Academy. My wife Bridget and I have been married for 12 years and have 4 little boys.
I attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for undergraduate school (BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1985) as well as for graduate school (MS in Applied Mechanics in 1987, Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering in 1992). During this time frame I also worked for Texas Instruments, the Naval Research Laboratories (Ph.D. sponsor), NASA (Post-doctoral sponsor) and Lockheed. From 1992 – 1997 I taught at the University of the Pacific in Stockton California. During this time I also worked for the University of California in the National Laboratory at Berkeley. While working as a Professor, I have published over 40 technical papers and generated about $400,000 worth of research and educational grants. If you think I could be of help as you consider future career options, feel free to set up a time to talk.
